matriarchy rising

A celebration of the Matriarchy in 3 symbols:

1) In celebration of the Artemis Project Team, who have restored our wonder with Moon Joy -- my Pegasus space socks, which I'm wearing as a talisman for their safe return today.

2) In celebration of Grandmother Moon, who has provided such comfort in this especially hard week -- the moon hanging I got for my birthday this year as a reminder that our power is so great that we can move oceans.

3) In celebration of my Grandmother, who passed 3 years ago yesterday -- a box of Andes candies, which she always kept on hand to share with someone special when they came to visit, to get rid of the bad taste after cough medicine, and for tucking into her granddaughter's pocket (when her parents weren't looking) for a little treat on the way home.
